Suma Hegde is the daughter of Shri G G Hegde, who is an eminent tabla player and also a well known instrument maker. She started her learning from her father when she was 12. And in 2009 she got the opportunity to meet pt. Shivkumar Sharma and he sent her to his senior disciple Dr .Dhananjay Daithankar Pune . She is learning under his guidance from past 9 years. This noble performance is well captured in high definition.

Supporting her is Shri Gurumurthy Vaidya, who is one of india’s foremost Tabla player and his son Master Rupak Vaidya. Rupak is a child prodigy just like his father was and he can be seen on concert stage very frequently in various parts of Karnataka and other places.
